Bad VOB file, What to do.
Hello:
I have a VOB file created from a DVD camcorder today. When I try to run the DVD on my computer, I only get about 5 minutes before it freezes. I can't seem to copy the VOB files from the DVD to a hard drive; however, when I put the disk into the drive and select RealPlayer (does the same with Win Media player), it shows all my video thumbnails. I can go into any one after the 5 minutes (point at which a probable error on the DVD occured) and play it through the remaining videos through RealPlayer.
This leads me to believe that the video file does contain more video than I'm actually lead to believe is on the DVD. My question is how do I extract a certain segment of my video (for that matter in any format) and save it so I can simply run that portion of the video as a seperate file? I want to be able to start saving from a specific thumbnail location and go through about 5-6 additional thumbnails then stop saving and create another video file.
Can this be done? Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
