AVTech Remote Software for MACs!Hello Mac Users!
Try this Security View E for AVTech DVRs being used on Mac Computers. I do not have a Mac, (I have a peterbuilt! Quit hissing!), and I cannot test this for you. Here is the link, but it may get moved around on the Apple store site. http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...rityviewe.html Here is the Google link should you need to find it if it moves. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&r...&aqi=&aql=&oq= If it works let me know! |

Re: AVTech Remote Software for MACs!scorpion,
The mentioned software, through my personal testing, only works with very old AVTECH DVR models (using MJPEG output through Video Server E). David Tang, System Product Manager AV TECH Corporation http://www.avtech.com.tw O: +886-2-2655-3866 #318 Skype: avtechsdavidtang |

Re: AVTech Remote Software for MACs!I do not work with this software much and I do not have anyfeedback for them. I believe the lite is for some of the older DVRs, and the other is for the latest DVRs.
It is a hit, or miss situation setting up these remote cellphone. There are phone manufacture issues, and ISP issues, java issue, and port issues. Avoid using port 80. Try various software to see which ones will work for you. For Iphone there is an AP for AVtech, and it may be in the $5.00 range. |

Re: AVTech /EageleEyes CCTV Remote Software for apple/IphoneJust had the AV installers in and am trying to remotely see my home CCTV cameras on 1) my dell laptops 2) my MAC and 3) my iphone. The laptops work, but downloading the AVTech software on my mac seems to download merely some transcript. Any idea how to solve this?
..and 3) it works on wi-fi at home on my iphone but not via 3G. Really want to be able to view them at work and my employer wont allow me to downlaod the AVTech software onto my work PC and there is no wi-fi available to me in the building. Anyone know how to get the eagleEyes Iphone working on 3G -or does anyone know of an internet based way to look that does not involve dowloading software? Help! |

Re: AVTech Remote Software for MACs!At work you should be able to log in to your IP address to see your DVR.
While at home, go to your computer and go to www.ipchicken.com Write that number down and that will be the number that you need log in to at work. Have a computer friend look at your router set up. There may be something like "block unrequested IP" or something like that in the router options. Make sure your port has been opened on your router. With a Mac you can log in to your DVR using quick time. The smart phone that is logging in via Wi Fi is just connecting on the local internet of the router. If it does not connect through the world wide web then you may have router issues. The Iphone does not have active x and therefore it needs the eagle eyes software to work. |
