Re: can not link avt779 dvr with router

DHCP gives the DVR an ip address of http://192.168.1.6/

Video Server E connects on 192.168.1.6 and works 100%
Internet explorer on 192.168.1.6 gets the anytime anywhere screen, and after logon states "The requested URL was not found on this server " the URL it is looking for is : http://192.168.1.6/home.cgi

Re: AV760Z(uk) - Cannot connect via IP: Login procedure failed. Help please

This is: http://192.168.1.6/home.cgi is an active X issue!

Go to tools > internet options > Security Tab > change to "prompt for unsigned active x".

The companies will not pay hostage money for Microsoft to sign a certificate, so the companies release a certificate for the active x that is unsigned, and IE 7, and up will block unsigned certificates.

After you do this then go to the GENERAL TAB and delete TEMPORARY INTENET FILES.

Open a new browser, and then log in. You should see the active x request, and now you can run it.

Re: AV760Z(uk) - Cannot connect via IP: Login procedure failed. Help please

Hi,

I had the same problem, I tried connecting via my laptop Windows XP, but always had the login problem both with the software and also browser.

To my surprise it worked on my another XP and 2000 system with out any pain, but still the laptop does not connect, I have tried doing all the stuff, from Deactivating Firewall to allowing all the active x stuff, but still no success with the laptop. And it connects with breeze with other system.

Regards
Abhay
