Authentication/encryption of stream from XP Pro 64I've had to forward port 1755 outside my router to allow a live video stream of my home security camera to be visible but obviously I don't want just anyone logging on and seeing my home.
Can anyone please suggest some sort of firewall / application that will require an authentication of some sort before accessing the open port? Thanks, Stephen |

Re: Authentication/encryption of stream from XP Pro 64I'm not sure whether you can use Windows authentication mechanism on the Win XP Pro, but you may use other solutions. For example you may:
1. Use web cam software like Active WebCam 2. Set up a streaming server and broadcast videos from it. |

Re: Authentication/encryption of stream from XP Pro 64Thanks Stream Recorder, but surely it will still be vunerable as anyone can still just type the IP address and port number and access the stream?

Re: Authentication/encryption of stream from XP Pro 64Both mentioned solutions allow you to password-protect you stream.
