http://www.mnet.com is the site i'm trying to get my videos....might be a good choice for you if you like watchin music videos,..etc...but my question is do you know any good stream recorders out there that can get the video URL from this site, instead of having to screen record it??....i've tried URL Helper (http://all-streaming-media.com/find-stream-URL/URL-Helper.htm) v2.5, WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) v11.2 ...these 2 which i love to use alot...couldn't do me any good on the site...i thought maybe somebody can test the site out for me??..PLEASE!!

Have you tried Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm)? It could be a flash .FLV video streamed through RTMP protocol.

Uhmm...if it were a FLV file i think WMR 11.2 would detect it and URL helper also....but then im not sure....seems like this site is professional made and i can't get that dumb URL...^_^..

You may find rtmp:// URLs with freeware URL Snopper (http://all-streaming-media.com/faq/recording-media-stream/faq-find-flash-stream-URLs-with-URL-Snooper.htm). And you may find RTMP mp3 and flv URLs (and record from them) with Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm). As for WMRecorder, it can find HTTP .flv video stream URLs only, it doesn't support RTMP protocol.

It could be a proprietory player, but I can't check it for you out 'coz I don't understand the language.

i tried the replay media catcher...it didnt work...i think its even worser than wmr 11 and URL helper...but then i havent tried URL snooper...isnt it the same thing as URL helper??..cuz i read this one discription on both oof them and it said the same thing.......about the site it's a korean site,i can't understand the language either just like you but i just manage to get through it....its very simple to login...but they only allow you to watch like 3 videos a day...thats why i made alot of differnt user name and PW's...=)...

HOW TO LOGIN....

1. use the username and password i've given you or PM me if u dont have it
( type it in near the top left corner, USERNAME FIRST, THEN PW, then click on the green box)

2. Install the CJ Music activex thingy(when it pops up)...

3. Click on Music Videohttp://image.mnet.com/Mnet/Images/Html/Header/2.0/mm_mvideo.gif..at the top of the page

4. it should take you to a different page...just scroll down and click on any of the pictures below...the Site Player should pop up and start loading...while your "??? recorder" is running..

Hopefully you can make it that far so we both are on the same page alright..

Actually you can use any download managers (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/download-managers-with-streaming-media-downloading-support.htm) 'coz this web-site uses HTTP protocol. You can download it even with your browser.

And wget is a command line utility so it is not a good idea for novice users to use it. There are many freeware download managers that can be used instead.

But when I tried to download from the latter URL, I got 404 Not Found error.

The problem is that I couldn't play the stream in the web-player as well. I duno why 'coz Korean or whatever language is used on the web-site.

hmm that's wierd how'd you get it to filter only the "file service" to come up?
i see certain GET requests and at the bottom i see the number of packets going in and out increasing but not on the list. it only show some of it.

i got the project URL snooper and the proxomitron

but im looking for something that would actually download all the actual packets that's coming in. although there's still the problem with decoding the packet unpacking it from it's encapsulated form. it's either that or the packets are in the media format but broken up.

btw does anyone know the 4code for wmv? cause i think i found the header for the media but not sure.

By packet sniffers (http://all-streaming-media.com/find-stream-URL/URL-Finders-Packet-Sniffers-URL-Snoopers-Software-to-Find-hidden-stream-URLs.htm) I mean programs like CommView.

The packets might be encrypted or just contain some service information which is hard to separate without knowing the algorithms.

Hi, I just joined here and also had the same question about ripping videos from mnet.com as well. I have the URL Snooper2 and I think thats the only program so far that gave me a link but not a downloadable link, compare to the other ones I have. There is a way of ripping videos from there it's just, I think you'd need some Korean video ripping program or something, since I've come across fans who gets their videos from that site. I'm still trying to figure how they do it. I'm sure they won't tell how or what they use to rip videos from mnet either.

The reason none of the programs are not able to detect a downloaded link, is because none of the the programs here can read mnetv://. Which seems to be their very own. Unless someone out there can manage to find a way around to be able to get videos from there, which will be hella great. Hit me up a pm, when any of you find a way or a program that supports mnetv://
