To get Higher Quality YouTube video just add "&fmt=18" to the end of the YouTube URL at the address bar of your web-browser and press the Enter button.

I tried Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) because it downloads YouTube videos for FREE.

I was able to download MP4 file music video Avril Lavigne "Girlfriend" with Replay Media Catcher. And its quality is much better than the Lower quality video at YouTube. But I had to rename the video manually. Don't really know why renaming didn't work here.

p.s. But Higher Quality videos at YouTube are not that great. Buy a DVD video if you really like it :D

You can also get the Higher Quality Video with freeware DownloadHelper plug-in for Firefox. I just think that Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) is the best way to record youtube videos for FREE.

Not to add more confusion to the mix, but you can ALSO Record youtube videos using WM Recorder (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/WMRecorder-One-click-online-audio-video-stream-recorder.htm) , but I do agree that Replay Media Catcher (http://all-streaming-media.com/record-video-stream/Replay-Media-Catcher-HTTP-RTMP-FLV-MP3-ripper-recorder.htm) 3.0 is the BEST way to record youtube videos, and you can do so for 100% FREE with the demo version.
