Re: How would I capture this embedded video? (flash .flv HTTP stream from flash playe

Thank you for your assistance.

Unfortunately, before posting here, I had tried Replay A/V v7.10b and absolutely nothing appeared when I clicked the URL Finder button and started the video. The URL Finder did not show the URL of the Flash video (still doesn't). Perhaps I need to try it with a new version.

Anyway, thanks for the file and your help. However, after downloading it, only the audio plays for me with Riva Player. Could I be missing a codec or something?

.FLV players and URL finders

Replay A/V's URL finder doesn't work with a dial-up connection so I can't test it, but their friendly support will definitely help. Actually it is always better to try the latest version before asking...

I use free Project URL snooper to find stream URLs

Can't tell you anything about Riva Player. I actually suggest other software for playing .FLV files. ATM I use free "K-Lite Codec Pack" to play flash videos by any direct x based video player. This codec pack has an FLV splitter and it uses ffdshow decoder to decode video stream on my PC. Free Media Player Classic that comes with it is one of the best video players available. And IMHO it is the best way to play .FLV files, 'coz other players were not as good in my tests.

Replay A/V 7.32 (the latest) is able to capture this.

Please refer to the user guide for more:

You mean it can't be called flash .flv video?

And have you ever had any problem recording such .flv streams or converting such .flv files?
