WM Recorder - What mode to use PRO or ADA to record live stream with authenticationI'm in a bit of a time crunch
I have limited time access to some stored web cam sports recordings and would love to get copies before they are off of the server. (within a day I think they will be gone) I purchased WM Recorder and have it set up with defaults except for file location and I set max size to 4TB. The source video is about 2.2 hours in real-time length. It starts PERFECTLY and is recording the stream just great. The live stream continues however long after the recording indicates "complete". I check the recording and sure enough - it ends too early - it is not complete. Probably about 1/3 complete actually. My question: How do I get WM Recorder to keep recording the stream? I am trying something this time - I set the "mode" to "pro" to see what that would do... I'll know in a while. Some other info: The site does require authentication which I supply just before I begin the recording. (each time) Any advice? Thanks! |

Re: WM Recorder - New user questionUpdate:
It looks like the "pro" setting is getting it done. I am well over one hour into the stream and it is still recording - so far so good! If I should look at anything else - please let me know. Thanks |

Re: WM Recorder - What mode to use PRO or ADA to record live stream with authenticatiThe PRO mode of WM Recorder allows to capture packets from Windows Media Player and Real Player, so it is recommended for live streams.
Depending on your connection you may prefer to use WM Capture or any other screen video capture software for live streams. Although IMHO WM Recorder is very good for live Windows Media streams. |
