video calling software better than Skype (where video doesn't lag)

I'm looking for a program I can video chat with just like Skype only what I want is better quality and resolution. Cuz when i talk to my girlfriend on video the whole thing lags and i was wondering if there is something better.

PLEASE HELP!!! and my webcam is good quality and so is my internet connection my house is right by a tower and i have my own router in the house. So please help let me know if you have any program that is better than skype for video chat. I don't care about the extra features i just need the video.

You or your girlfriend need a faster Internet connection to avoid lags. Switching to another software will hardly help. But you can try Google Talk and Windows Live Messenger.
