What software can be used to download Hulu videos as of September 2014?

I have been trying for about 3 months now to find a program that can successfully download hulu videos. In doing so I have tried upwards of 10 programs, all of which have not worked at all. As of recently, I have tried the ATRES downloader which some people said had worked, but while it manages to find the direct links to the hulu videos, as well as even the file sizes, it does not allow me to download the video as the download speed always remains at 0.0 b/s. If anyone could provide some insight as to why that is occuring, as well as a program that can actually download the videos, that would be fantastic.
