Uninstall of WM capture problems

I downloaded and tried WM Capture and it did not work the way I wanted. I uninstalled through Windows XP home control panel. However now my dvd player/recorder will not play any sound and the windows media player acts strange when it first boots up. I notice when WM Capture installed it installed codec files in DOS. Obviously the uninstall did not uninstall all of WM capture files. I uninstalled my sound card drivers and reinstalled them and DVD's still produce no sound.

Can you help please?
