hi,

i used to record streams of mlb.tv but havent been able since they switched to a new player, some adobe flash player that is.
ive tried several programs: WM Recorder, Orbit Downloader , Replay Media Catcher and i dont wanna do any sort of screen capture.

does anyone know a way to get the streams recorded?
i can add screenshots if anyone needs em.

big thanks in advance.

What kind of problem with Replay Media Catcher exactly do you have? Can it pick up the URL? Is it an HTTP stream?

Have you tried to use Jaksta or Bit Recorder?

I've got Replay Media Catcher 3.0, and it detects and records the streams from this year's new flash interface.

That's the good news. The bad news is that both video and audio end up in a codec that I can't seem to play anywhere, perhaps something proprietary...I don't know.

If I open a captured stream in VLC Media Player, it lists both the video and audio codecs as undf. Video resolution is 400x226, audio is stereo, 16 bit, 44100 Hz. It knows the duration, too, but it can't figure out how to actually play the file.

The newest MLB.TV player uses RTMP streams. The best way to download them is by using Replay Media Catcher 4 and WM Recorder

Downloading from MLB.TV With Internet Download Manager.(IDM)

But I agree that Replay Media Catcher, WM Recorder as well as freeware RTMPexplorer and Coojah are much better.
