Can I record HDTV with TiVo?

TiVo HD can record HDTV except for satellite:

• It works with with cable HDTV and requires a CableCARD decoder from your cable company to receive digital and HD programs.
• It works with antenna and records both SD and HD programs
• It does NOT work with satellite HDTV.

Please note that you cannot use the Ethernet port to see the TiVo as an external hard drive. Instead, you can access content on the TiVo through a server the TiVo hosts to support the MRV/TTG feature. You'd basically direct your web browser at a specific URL, providing specific credentials, and would be presented the content as download links, unless the content itself was copy-protected.
