any good ideas? tried mediapimp video downloadhelper and youtube-dl but it seems there is now an option for uploader to block all that

anyone knows how to circumvent ?

i wanted all 5 of these; in fact i only just trying to play them through mpv and vlc since browsers on Ubuntu make hd a stutter-fest

but those will not even play through mpv and vlc


so i need to download them to see them with no stutter



how does one? i am on ubuntu but it must affect other platforms too since it is a yt issue

did you try (browser extensions) without ssl?

no issues on windows for all qualities using http.

thanx for prompt reply blimey but can you be a little detailed here please
are you saying you can download these easily on Windows? or do you mean just play them?

what is ssl ? this? and how would i change my settings in regards to that?


i use chromium and ssl is mentioned here




should i tick server revocation ? what does it do and mean?

PS let me clarify so we know what is not working

the videos play in the browser but badly as flash is rubbish on linux

for me a good workaround always is to play the url through vlc or mpv
or to download the video with youtube-dl mediapimp or video downloadhelper and play in a player


but many new yt vids will not do this and a code 403 appears as can be seen above

What I mean is, use http instead of https in the youtube video url.

For example, use;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPK67Px8sR8

instead of;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPK67Px8sR8

are you saying you can download on your Windows setup with say mediapimp and video downloadhelper or similar and no prob? in which case this is not a YT issue but an ubuntu problem or maybe just my setup; trying to understand here why i can play these urls or download
