I certainly do appreciate the education you are providing. I'm a real music fan; I play piano myself, and I have built quite a library of WAV and mp3 files to listen across a wide range of genres. Internet radio has opened seemingly a whole new world of music to enjoy. Occasionally recording it allows me to screen which artists and titles I really like, and I often acquire albums in order to enjoy them more.
I appreciate the kind offer of assistance in suggesting software for capturing non-Shoutcast streams. I generally use Winamp as my player (since it does such a nice job of organizing and playing my own in-house collection). But I also sometimes use other players like XMPlay or MusikCube. And, as you suggested, I downloaded
URL Snooper a week or so ago, and have started to learn how to identify stream URLs.
One particular source I would like to access is SkyJazz, which apparently streams several programs in RealAudio. It is located at
Code:
http://www.skyjazz.com/
I don't have a RealAudio player on my computer, not even a plugin for Winamp. Apparently there is such a plugin, but I don't know anything about RealAudio, so I've got more to learn.
Thanks again for all the kind assistance. I enjoy exploring, but it's even more fun with a bit of help!
