four camera cctv system using a AV760Z(UK) DVR: setting password/key lock

I have just set up a four camera cctv system using a AV760Z(UK) DVR. The system works ok but when I try to access the menu functions it asks for a password. I have input 0000 as per the manual but it gives a pass word error. Also I cannot switch the unit off with the power switch. How do I unlock the keys?
