Please help me to download this BBC News video

Hello,

I've spent many hours today trying to download the first video on the following website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-11627746

I have not had any luck and I am at my wits end, honestly!

I have tried the following things:
  • RTMPExplorer, StreamingStar Video Downloader, WM Browser, StreamTransport - The video did not even load in any of these applications' internal browsers, giving error "script access is denied".
  • WM Recorder attached to Opera browser - The video was marked for capture, but the capture URL was clearly wrong (URL contained spaces, no TLD, etc)
  • HiDownloadPlatinum - The software totally crashes whenever I try to capture the video
  • Looking at the "view source" - But I could not find any reference to an XML file or a playlist element like many sites said I should find
  • Various "video downloader" plugins - None of which could detect this video

I found on another site that if I take the unique programme code (gotten by rightclicking on the video while playing) then I can create a URL to an XML: http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/4...tream/p00bt1tq

This seems to point to a valid XML, but I have no way to know how to translate the contents into a link I can use, or to even know if this is really pointing to the correct video.

It's just a 1m53s video which I am trying to download.

Please can someone help me by suggesting an approach or providing a link/commandline which I can run to obtain this video?

Thanks,
Adam
