Recording Youtube Live on a MacHi there,
I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I'm trying to grab this stream http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_owH4FlFN90 i've tried using the network monitor in developer tools in google chrome. i copied the link for the stream and pasted it into a download accelerator/manager and after about 30 mins or so it times out and i have to generate another link. creating breaks in the stream and the need for me to sit by the computer and make a new link every half hour. which i can't do since the stream is 6 hours. i was reading through these two threads http://stream-recorder.com/forum/dum...ng-t15019.html http://stream-recorder.com/forum/ffm...ic-t14019.html and the best tool seems to be youtubedl but isn't that windows only? i was going to try the ffmpeg method but all the instructions are for linux based compiliing and i run into jams which i have to troubleshoot for the mac command line. i've tried using a screen recorder before but the quality isn't as good as the downloaded streams. if there are any sites with comprehensive instructions on how to do a mac compile of ffmpeg/rtmpdump please let me know. i've done a lot of googling and can't get any to work with my system. i'll keep trying of course but i'd appreciate some help. thx. |
