Can't convert AVI files to VIDEO_TS to burn onto DVD. Are they DRM protected?

I have dvd rips in the avi format and i want to convert them to ts_video files so that i can burn them to a dvd but when i try to convert them it tells me that they are protected.

How do i get rid of it so that i can burn them to a disk.
