Can I make my DVD player play DVDs from other regions?

Is there a chip or something I can put into my DVD player to make it play DVDs from other regions? I can change the region on my laptop but I can only change it 4 times and then it's stuck and I don't want it to do that.
You can try to find an alternative firmware (software for your DVD player) that will make your DVD player supporting multiple regions. Obviously you can't download it from the official web-site of the vendor. Besides the process of changing the firmware can damage your DVD player. So you can do it at your own risk.

On your laptop you can always use software like AnyDVD that allows you to switch region as many times as you need.
