OK, I'm trying to remove the DRM protection from a WMV file I downloaded (and yes, I did pay for it and it's legal) so I can burn it to a DVD. I tried Tunebite and got a choppy 40-odd minute file (original was over an hour). Then, I tried to use the FairUse4WM (is that correct?) program, but I had problems, which turned out to be because the Windows Media Player version was too high to be compatible with the aforementioned program. I'm worried about downgrading, though, as I really don't want to lose my license to play the file (although I do have two downloads left, so I can download it again if necessary).

What would be a recommended solution? I'm lost.

Thanks!
