Are there any free Daniusoft-style re-recorders out there?

I have an audiobook that my music player can't play because of some tricky DRM in the files, so I've been researching various solutions. Daniusoft's DRM Converter looks good to me, but a sudden expense has completely wiped out my savings so I can't really spare the $40 for it right now. Are there any free utilities that do more or less the same thing? Yes, I know that it's possible to re-record audio with Audacity, but I don't want to have to record every segment of the book manually - I'm looking for an automated process that I can start at night that'll be done in the morning. I'm also not thrilled by the idea of wasting time and CDs by burning the audio to a disc and then ripping it back.
