Tried many recorders but none will work

Hi Folks,

I have genuinely tried about five different streaming sound recorders but none will record the radio on my PC
I used to use "Absolute Recorder" but had to re-install Windows 7 Ultimate.
I like to listen to the radio on my PC via i-Player.
Nothing will now record what is on the PC now and me head is about to explode.
I gather that what the problem is effects all the players I have tried.
Audacity
Free Sound recorder
Adrosoft AD
Absolute
Can anyone put me out of my misery?
