AMD HD3D is a technology designed to enable stereoscopic 3D support in games, movies and/or photos. Additional hardware (e.g. 3D enabled panels, 3D-enabled glasses/emitter, Blu-ray 3D drive) and/or software (e.g. Blu-ray 3D discs, 3D middleware, games) are required for the enablement of stereoscopic 3D. Not all features may be supported on all components or systems - check with your component or system manufacturer for specific model capabilities and supported technologies.
AMD HD3D technology is enabled on ATI Radeon HD 5000 Series GPUs and above using Catalyst 10.10 or later, however Blu-ray 3D playback is only supported on AMD Radeon HD 6000 series GPUs and above.

How to connect computer with an AMD graphics card using HD3D Technology to a 3D HDTV or 3D projector- You will need ATI Radeon HD 5000 Series GPUs or AMD Radeon HD 6000 or above. Older graphics cards are not compatible with AMD HD3D Technology.
- You will need Catalyst 10.10 or later. Make sure to install the latest drivers.
- You will need a 3D HDTV or 3D projector supporting HDMI 1.4.
- You will need an HDMI 1.4 cable.
- You will need to connect your AMD HD3D Technology compatible graphics card to your 3D HDTV or 3D projector using an HDMI 1.4 cable.
- If you have more than one graphics card, or a dual-GPU solution like 5970, then disable Catalyst AI from the driver.
- You can DDD TriDef 3D Software or iZ3D Driver for enabling stereoscopic 3D output on your 3D HDTV.
If you use DDD TriDef 3D Software, select "AMD – AMD HD3D Technology (HDMI 1.4a)".

- If you have black screen problem, try to disable 3D mode, run your game normally in 2D mode, set the right video resolution. Then enable 3D mode and try again.
- If you can't setup the 1080p24 mode, try to use 720p60 or 720p50 modes.
- When playing 3D games in 1080p24 mode, disable V-sync. Otherwise you can get choppy video in fast moving games.
- If you use DDD TriDef 3D, you can test whether 3D is working properly by running "TriDef 3D Experience".
If you use iZ3D Driver you use the built-in test in the iZ3D Control Center: Go to Help -> "Static test" (this allows to switch to full screen in 3D mode).
- Hardware supporting AMD HD3D technology can be found on the AMD website.
If your 3D HDTV or 3D projector is not included into the list of supported hardware, make sure that your HDTV or projector supports HDMI 1.4 and 3D. It is a good idea to ask other users of your 3D HDTV or 3D projector about their experience with AMD HD3D.
