Odd partially corrupted output: AZW to MOBI

I've tried removing the DRM from an Amazon Kindle file a few times using various scripts. It works each time but the output is partially corrupted (screenshots below), if I skip forward a few pages it's fine again. One thing to not that when this corruption appears it seems to break the next button.
