OK so,
I bought a couple movies on
Amazon Unbox when they were on sale, and didn't realize that it's next to impossible to decrypt them. I tried my usual Windows XP VM trick, where I have an older version of the WMP11 DRM files so that
FairUse4WM is able to work, but Amazon Unbox reports it as corrupted, and knows that it's "vulnerable", and will not let me download the licenses to these videos without updating the DRM.
It requires WMP11 now, so even if I roll back to WMP9 or 10, it will automatically install a final version of 11 as soon as I try to install it.
I haven't heard much news on DRM decrypting from Windows Media files since like 2008... has anything new come out? Because I'd really like to see something that works with WMP11 final, or unless anyone knows of an exploit to get an older version of the WM DRM to work with Amazon Unbox.
