avtech 760: Copy and burn a section of the video to a DVD or CD

I have an avtech 760. I would like to copy and burn a section of the video to a dvd or cd. How can I do that? I am new at this. I had a DVR set up to capture video of my vehicle and I caught a wrecker slamming a towed vehicle into other vehicles and driving off. I need to put the video on something that I can give the police.
Thanks!
