connect a Samsung shr1041 dvr to a local computer using a Linksys BEFSR41 router

I am trying to connect a Samsung shr1041 dvr to a local computer using a Linksys BEFSR41 router. I can ping the dvr but i am unable to see the video. I am using logmein to see the host computer from the internet. I am using the Samsung SmartViewer 2.0 software. Any ideas?
