Noobish questions: What to choose, Jaksta or Replay Media Catcher?

Couldn't find a forum here for beginner's questions, so I hope you don't mind me asking them here.

I am looking at Jaksta and Replay Media Catcher. They seem to be the most popular out there, and it seems both are able to download or record from myfreecams.com from some info I found.

I have a few questions though.

1. What is the difference between recording and downloading? Is the end result the same? A flv I can take with me anywhere?
   
2. What is the major difference between Jaksta, and Replay Media Catcher?
   
3. Since I am going to get one of these, I want the one which can download from best sites. This is subjective though. I use pandora, hulu, myfreecams (discovered it today :P). I also come across other sites which use flash.

I am leaning towards Jaksta, but your opinion is greatly appreciated.
