Repair a broken flv recorder file

Is it possible to repair a broken FLV Recorder recording? I have 3 files, one with the extension .flvdata, another with .flvdata.idx, and another with .flvdata.tmp

I know the stream was completely recorded, there was just a problem when I clicked stop to end the recording.

If it's possible, what program should I use?

Thanks!

Re: Repair a broken flv recorder file

Please try to use the methods of fixing FLV Recorder recordings mentioned the following thread:
Recording RTMP Webcams from (How to record XXX/adult web-cam videos from cam4.com)

If it doesn't work, you may try to download the stream with some other RTMP Flash stream recorders.

Re: Repair a broken flv recorder file

in version 3.5 that i have there is an option when u click on the + button (on left in top right corner) to " Add *.FlvData to process " that will let you choose a file that never was saved as FLV due to crash or whatever. maybe 20% of the time it won't process this file for me and will lose alot of the data and / or crash again. no solution for that as of yet.

Fix/repair flv files (make flv files seekable, playable, inject metadata, fix duration)

Question

Please help! :)

So I use v4 and have the same problem:

In the directory 'Temp' there are the following files: '23.flvdata' & '23.flvdata.idx'

Is there any possibility to make a real FLV file out of them? I hope so. I've tried several things: renamed the '23.flvdata' to '23.flv', but it didn't work; tried to merge another FLV file with my renamed '23.flvdata', but also hopeless ...

I really really hope that someone has got the solution for me.

Thanx in advance for your answer.

Take care,
Sabine.

Re: Please help! :)

Since Streaming Star doesn't support its clients anymore, the only solution I have is to get a refund. Then use RTMP Flash stream recorders that work.

Some of them are free, so you don't even need to spend any additional money. Jaksta and Orbit Grab Pro have similar functionality (i.e. can capture HTTP and RTMP packets from flash player).

Okay, when it cannot be solved:

How can I avoid this problem in future? Do you have any ideas?

Take care,

Just use other RTMP Flash stream recorders that are more reliable.
