Nice to know about GetFlv as rtmpsuck will go down the toilet as soon as firefox 54 does,

Rtmpdumphelper consumes much memory and it is not reliable on my computer. Is there any other way which does not require using licensed software like getflv?. I tried to use ABP to scan the site and try to find the m3u8 but i cannot grab any. Should any help me with this?. Thanks in advance.

For RTMP streams rtmpdump, ffmpeg or streamlink, but you have to get rtmp parameters somehow.

Rtmpdumphelper is ideal if it works.

You can use rtmpdumphelper just to get parameters, and then download with rtmpdump.

Parameters are in command.txt if you run KSV's package.

I have not tried rtmpsuck on linux yet, may work that way.

In windows rtmpdumphelper with firefox 54 works fine for now.


For HTTP streams in my opinion streamlink rules for now.

You can get m3u8 url with urlsnooper or with httpfox extension for firefox.

There may be another problem here, maybe one particular site does not work and another works.

Helper works with opera usb version, but some sites won't work properly with opera usb.

Things are changing daily and there isn't some ideal setup working in every situation. I am using 5 different rtmpdumps and 4 different browsers and all other programs in few different flavours to catch up with variety of changes comming daily.

I just find out that cams.com doesn't run rtmp streams, at least not today, and there is m3u8.

There is rtmpdumphelper 64 bit and it does not work very well with my main browser ( portable )

Opera is faster than firefox. I dumped firefox and don't bother looking at other 64 bit browsers.

Something might work in 64 bit setup and I don't need to look at that for now.

There are fewer and fewever rtmp streams on the internet and I'll look more at html and streamlink
