In a followup reply to this post, I will provide a quick Wireshark tutorial showing how to get the rtmp URL used on the rtmpdump command line. Last edited by Samizdat : 03-08-2013 at 09:14 PM. Reason: minor |

Re: C-SPAN CapturesThere is an easier way to get Rand Pauls' filibuster. The Senate makes all their videos available for download as MP4.

I make the Rand Paul filibuster available for download as MP4: https://archive.org/details/paul20130306 As to rtmpdump and Wireshark, do you think their use is limited to C-Span? Do you think folk who put "capture" in their search engine might be looking for that primarily, and C-Span secondarily, if at all? In the latter case, they can find in my Internet Archive item a fourteen-hour filibuster in the time it takes their browser to load the page. Whereas in the case of your Senate "download as MP4" video archive, they will find nothing. |
