Help With Replay Media Catcher/rtmp capture

Hello,

I am having a problem with Replay Media Catcher and I wanted to know if anyone here might be able to assist.

For this example of my issue I will use stickam. if you got to stickam.com on the main page like there will be a radio station feed on. Media cather picks up this feed with no issues whatsoever.
now the problem is if you are logged in to the site and want to actually join the room were everyone is talking when the window launches it attempts to capture the feed in swf but it gets to 200k and stops. I tried to look at the FAQ but was unable to find qanything relating to this problem.

I have tried the URL Snooper and have compared when the transfer details from when media catcher can record and the details of the url when it cant but this is were I get lost. is there a way to get media catcher to pick up the stream when i launch the window?

You can capture it with FLV Recorder. But you have to close the FlvRecorder.exe Process while still capturing. Then you get a file with the proper size in your Temp folder.
Its X.flvdata and there also is a X.flvdata.idx.
Now here is where i am stuck.
Anyone got any idea how you could get a working flv out of this data?

You're able to RECORD from stick.am with no problem at all, but once you join the chat, this is where i'm confused.
1. Does the music STOP recording once you join the chat?
or
2. Are yo simply trying to record the CHAT as well, but that halts at 200k

Since his post is almsot 1 year old and i got the same question i will explain it for him.

You can record this stream with Replay Media Catcher without any problem.
But once you enter that chat there comes a new stream up which will stop immediately.
It is working with FlvRecorder but once you click stop the output file,again, just got some kbs.

Is there any way to get a working flv video out of that
flvdata file or is there any way to get Replay Media Catcher working IN the chatroom?

i did not catch that it was almost a year old, on another note...there is usually no need to respond to posts that are that old.


With regards to the chat room itself, your best bet would probably be Screen Capture software, as it doesn't rely on the URL of the stream to record/capture what's going on.
