USPS is too expensive. Affordable parcel shipping from the US to Hong Kong?

USPS has recently jacked up the international shipping charge for packages, a lot! There is no longer Parcel Post which was affordable. There are only the different International Priority options (USPS Priority Mail and USPS Express Mail) which are ridiculously expensive. It's like $45 for a 3 pounds!!! Of course UPS, FedEx, DHL are all even more expensive. Are there any other companies (postals or courier services) that are cheaper?

If you use package consolidation, it is not that expensive. I condolidate my packages using Shipito and then send them via USPS.
