ERROR: RTMP_ReadPacket, failed to read RTMP packet header Closing connection... done

When I use rtmpsuck v.1.3 in Ubuntu 10.04 I get the following error in about 60% of cases
ERROR: RTMP_ReadPacket, failed to read RTMP packet header
Closing connection... done!

I haven't noticed any activity in the rtmpdump project for a while. Will there be any fixes for the problem???

rtmpdump 2.2 "ERROR: RTMP_ReadPacket, failed to read RTMP packet header"

Hi,

Fedora 13 + rtmpdump 2.2 + rtmpsrv. I used rtmpsrv to grab an rtmpdump command. When I try the rtmpdump command I get the following:

Code:
WARNING: Handshake: Type mismatch: client 6, server answered 8
INFO: Connected
ERROR: RTMP_ReadPacket, failed to read RTMP packet header
*** glibc detected *** rtmpdump: free(): invalid pointer: 0x04be5c40 ***
Is my procedure correct? What other information should I include here to help find/fix the problem?

rtmpdump ERROR: RTMP_ReadPacket,failed to read RTMP packet header

"ERROR: RTMP_ReadPacket,failed to read RTMP packet header "

part way through download, stops responding with CPU 100%, very repeatable, say every other download

v2.3-2, on ubuntu 11.04, new since OS update (and rtmpdump update) but stream also changed.

used throguh get_iplayer 2.79.

is there debug flag or a drop-in debug build i could get some more info from?

Re: Unexpected error with rtmpdump

Could someone write a patch for RTMPdump to make this stream work? It seems to use ticketRenew authentication. I'm asking in this thread, because it shows the same error as in the first post.

Re: ERROR: RTMP_ReadPacket, failed to read RTMP packet header Closing connection... d

I have a similar problem when I run librtmp with _DEBUG enabled.
It does not happen without the _DEBUG.

I do that by removing the comment in log.h as defined there:
/* Enable this to get full debugging output */
#define _DEBUG

I run:
ffplay rtmp://192.168.2.103/vod/media/sample.flv

and get error:
RTMP_ReadPacket, failed to read RTMP packet header
rtmp://192.168.2.103/vod/media/sample.flv: Operation not permitted

its on my way to another bug.

Any idea how to make _DEBUG work?

Thanks,
Ofer

This message could also mean secure token is missing.
