Need Help Recording Real Player/Flash Streams [Attention: porn video streaming]

I'm glad that there is a forum like this because I tried to record files from a Real Media stream and I couldn't figure out how to do it myself

Well the case is I joined the site ... ( yeah I know it's a porn site)

And you can stream the movies on the most or real media and some are flash movies. I used to download the movies on that site by using Cocsoft but for some reason that doesn't work anymore. I tried to insert sereval URL's but taht didn't work either. I also tried to use different programs but without any luck.

So what I wanted to ask if someone had a idea how I should do this. It would mean a lot to me The flash player is on the site itself and I don't think that you can get a link on that one, the realplayer is also on the site itself but you can choose to play the video in your own realplayer.

So what I wanted to suggest is if you are confident that you can help me with this pronlem that I can give you my login so that you could figure out how to download from this site... if that wouldn't be too much trouble.

I'm sure that a lot of you are pro's on this so if you think you can do it I'll PM my login to you and I hope that you can figure out how to do this. And only reply by the way if you are serious about finding out how to make this work

I also suggest you to try WM Recorder and Replay Media Catcher. Both have demo versions that can be used to find stream URLs:

WM Recorder in AUTO recording mode can automatically record Real Audio/Real Video/Real Media, Windows Media and Flash HTTP .FLV videos. In demo mode you may only record a couple of minutes with it, but you may easily get stream URLs for free.

Replay Media Catcher can record HTTP and RTMP .FLV flash videos. It finds flash stream URLs and automatically records them. And it is the only RTMP .FLV stream recorder released so far.

Great will try that, I have purchased to full version of WM Recorder by the way but how do I get it to Auto detect? Cause up till now I had to insert all the links myself and that didn't really work out. And would it with the media player on teh site itself or would I have to open it with my own media player. Could you explain to me how I should use this program because I am kind of a noob at this

WM Recorder has a great user guide. Please read it to learn how to record effectively.

WM Recorder has 3 recording modes: PRO, ADA and URL. AUTO recording is available for the PRO and ADA modes. Please read the user guide for more:
1. Start WM Recorder
2. Click the Help button
3. Click User guide.

To turn AUTO recording mode on:
1. Start WM Recorder
2. Make sure you're connected to the internet.
3. Click on the mode button.
4. Select the ADA or PRO mode
5. Check the "Auto Recording" checkbox
6. Click OK.

Thanks for the help it's working a lot better now
But it still isn't working for the real player somehow he doesn't detect those links. Also when I go to the settings I see that the real player squares are gray and I can't select them. And I have the latest version of real player (v 10) any idea how I can fix this? Again thx for your help

You may try 2 things: freeware Real Alternative and Firefox browser. Sometimes they help to open a stream in a standalone player.

Also try to find stream URLs with freeware URL Snooper.

If there is any problem in WM Recorder, I can contact the developer.

Finally got it to work with the URL Snooper
Have just one last question and then I'll get out of your hair
I know what programms I should use for converting rmvb files, but what is the best program to convert flash files with ( to Avi format) or is that even possible?

Finally got it to work with the URL Snooper

So Real Player media stream was detected by URL Snooper, but wasn't found by WM Recorder in the AUTO recording mode, am I right? Was it a pnm:// Real stream?

yeah it was a pnm stream, so I think that that would be it, cause WM Recorder can't detect pnm files right? I also downloaded the streams with Cocsoft, had to change the pnm to http but it worked perfectly and when I tried that in WM Recorder it didn't really work out if I insert the link there it doesn't seem to be able to find the stream
