Put B&N Book on Kindle (Remove DRM from B&N ePub file and convert into Kindle format)

I have a Nook Color and Kindle 3...I'm trying to put my B&N purchased books on my kindle. I removed the DRM (via Calibre & Customizing the plugin with my name & cc#) so I was able to convert the books from epub to Mobi but when I get the book on my kindle it says protected and won't open...any help? Is this even possible?

Can you open this ePub ebook with ADE?

Try to remove DRM protection from your ePub files using a standalone program from DRM Tools Archive. If you get any error with it, please post it here.

I am having so much trouble completing this process! I purchased a Barnes & Noble school book and am unable to remove the DRM so that I could have it as a unlocked .PDF and use on my tablet. If you could very quickly update me on the files need to do so. Also can you rent a book and unlock the .PDF? When I download through Nook Study it comes in .PDF format not EPUB or .PDB? Any help thanks!
