[Help] Stereo Mix / VAC Alternative for broadcasting (Conexant CX20671 SmartAudio HD)At the moment, I am trying to find an alternative to Stereo Mix so I am able to stream audio online. Do note, I do NOT want to record something from the PC, I want to be able to stream the audio from my PC, and from my Microphone. And at the moment, my sound card does not support Stereo Mix/Waveout.
A few notes about my computer. Toshiba Satellite C655D-S5136 Windows 7 Home Premium (64-Bit) 3 GB Ram Conexant CX20671 SmartAudio HD (Driver Version: 4.119.0.61) AMD Athlon II P340 Dual-Core Processor (2.20 GHz) -Purchased about 3 months ago, original installation in use. I have tried the following to check if I have Stereo Mix : 1: Rollback Audio Drivers/Install previous versions of the audio drivers. I am unable to find previous versions of my Conexant CX20671 SmartAudio HD drivers. I have searched the Conexant Website with the following results: http://www.conexant.com/support/ Quote:
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/t...ily=1073768663 Under 64-Bit, my drivers are up to date. 4.119.0.61 - I have tried uninstalling my audio drivers, and reinstalling them with the provided drivers from Toshiba to no luck. 2 : I have used Virtual Audio Cable in the past, but every time I wish to stream, there is a very noticeable lag from audio. Settings have been set to default, with a 3ms buffer, as that is the only buffer setting that doesn't skip or overlap. In example, I stream console games, using a Dazzle recorder, and provided software from Dazzle to view, and hear the audio from the game. While streaming said game, the audio is not in sync with the video. When I do an action in the game, a half a second later, the audio plays in the stream, which is quite an annoyance especially when using Livestream to stream, and record at the same time. The audio does not sync with the video at all, at least not until I go back in and use video editing software to force it to sync back into place, but even then, I have a slow internet connection, it will take hours, just to upload something, especially a 1~2 hour gaming session. 3 : I have not yet tried updating my BIOS to see if this will resolve the issue. Will update this post with results if there is an update available for my mother board. 4 : Windows 7 Home Premium Updates are so far 100% up to date. 5 : I have tried going into MMSYS.CPL, under the "Playback" Tab, I have right-clicked in an open location, and ensured that "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" are both checked, and the same under the "Recording" tab. Both are checked. As well, I have checked the Properties of the Conexant speakers under the Playback tab under all tabs available (General, Levels, Enhancement, Advanced), There is nothing about enabling input monitoring, or stereo mix amongst the settings. Under the Recording tab for the Conexant Microphone, there is a "Listen" tab, but when "Listen to this device" is checked, it only plays back the audio that is streaming from the microphone, to my speakers (Which can get quite loud from loop-feedback) Otherwise, there is nothing in regards to Stereo Mix or Waveout. ---- If anyone has an alternative to Stereo Mix or at least Virtual Audio Cable (VAC), please do let me know. I need it to stream, not to record audio. Regards Blade |

Re: [Help] Stereo Mix / VAC Alternative for broadcasting (Conexant CX20671 SmartAudioI don't know how to enable stereo mix for Conexant CX20671 SmartAudio HD. You can try to connect the line-out of your sound card with the mic in using a 3.5 mm cable.

Re: [Help] Stereo Mix / VAC Alternative for broadcasting (Conexant CX20671 SmartAudioI would, but at the moment, my main headset runs off of a Logitech G330 (There's the headset, and there's the adapter that came with it) 3.5mm-to-USB adapter, better clarity over all. If possible I would rather have a software solution than a hardware, I use the sound from the game itself using the Dazzle software instead of turning up the TV volume.
My apologies for not stating that earlier. Blade |

Re: [Help] Stereo Mix / VAC Alternative for broadcasting (Conexant CX20671 SmartAudioNo need to apologize
I prefer a hardware solution (a USB sound card that has a stereo mix) to software. If you use your headset during gameplays, the following setup will probably not work for you: http://stream-recorder.com/forum/wmc...ugh-t9405.html The only alternative to Virtual Audio Cable that I know is Virtual Audio Streaming. I prefer the former software. |
