Does USPS deliver straight to my house?

I am expecting alot of stuff in the mail that I ordered, very important stuff I have wanted for a while, and just today I lost my mailbox key, I read on the email conformation it sent me that it is shipping to me USPS, and I was wondering if they deliver to your door, or just through the mail.

Get another mailbox key, no matter how much it might cost you. If what you ordered will not fit in your mailbox, your carrier may try to deliver to your door. If you are not home, he/she will leave a notice in your mailbox indicating that you have something to pick up at your local PO.
