Computer Slow when streaming to JTV (Justin TV) w/ VLC and JTVLCMy computer CPU usage goes up to %100 and most of it is VLC. The video just displays one frame and the audio plays with some sputtering.
There are a few questions about this on the Justin TV (JTV) forums but no answers |

Re: Computer Slow when streaming to JTV (Justin TV) w/ VLC and JTVLCClose all programs that are not needed for streaming. And shutdown your antivirus temporarily.
You can also try to reduce the video resolution. If nothing helps, then you probably need to upgrade your hardware. |

Re: Computer Slow when streaming to JTV (Justin TV) w/ VLC and JTVLCIs there anyway to stream without transcoding? I can play videos without any problem. I think because VLC is converting from whatever file format is playing into whatever file format is being streamed (probably mp4 or flv) that it is taking a lot of processor time.
If I could convert to the streamed format ahead of time and then stream with no transcoding it would probably stream just fine. Problem is that if I try to stream an FLV file on justin TV it crashes the JTVLC program. |
