Problem with DTMF tones in Skype for voice response / automatic answering systems

I'm having problems with DTMF tones generated by Skype not being recognised by voice response systems / automatic answering system. In previous version of Skype there were no problems with generating DTMF tones. However since upgrading to version 4 the tones are no longer recognised. Is there any solution to this? What is wrong with the keypad?

After making a call with Skype 4.2, you will see 3 icons to the right side of the red phone symbol where it says "calling".



The icons are:

• a microphone to adjust volume;
• a key pad;
• a green color gauge for call information.

Press on the icon #2 (9 dots in 3 rows ) to open a key pad. When asked for DTMF tones during the call, press the digits on this key pad
