Dazzle DVD Recorder problem:Out of sync recording Xbox 360 gameplay &can't play in HD

Hey, I just bought the Dazzle DVD Recorder and am using it to record gameplay, although the only negative thing I have is
1) the audio and video do not match,
and
2) you cannot play in HD.

Now does anyone know how to fix the first problem.
And also I might return this because I really want to be able to play in HD, not record in HD, but play in HD. Are there any capture cards that allow this? around $100?

I've seen the audio/video out of sync problem with Dazzle many times. Don't know how to solve the problem. But Dazzle has tech support, so it is a good idea to contact them.

AverTV HD DVR with an HDMI splitter will cost slightly more than $100. Note that you will need a very powerful computer to capture HD videos with it.

thank you for your reply, I read that post, and want to know if the Pinnacle Studio MovieBox HD lets you play in HD on your tv, and record in SD?

As far as I can see, Pinnacle Studio MovieBox HD is not much different from Dazzle DVD Recorder. The former has a firewire input/output, but many motherboards have it as well.

I will try to repeat the same thing about playing in HD while recording with SD capture card. Hopefully it will be more clear.

xbox doesn't seem to allow you to ouput SD and HD videos simultaneously using HDMI and composite outputs, or component and composite outputs simultaneously. So you need a component to composite converter or a component to S-Video converter, and I don't think it makes sense to spend money onto it.
