workaround for WB digital copies that are included with the purchased DVD

Is there a workaround for WB digital copies that are included with the purchased DVD? The download forces you to install WB Digital Copy Manager and forces an upgrade to the latest version of WMP.

I haven't used DVD like that yet.

IMHO it is easier not to install anything from the DVD, just rip the DVD with freeware DVD Decrypter or any other software and convert videos with a free program to the format that you need.
