DRM on flv files

Have any of you encountered Adobe flv files with DRM? If so, have you been able to find a solid program that can remove the DRM? Several internet sites in a php environment have adapted this seemingly new protection for the videos, requiring one to ONLY use the Adobe player to obtain the license and then not allowing any flexibility to convert the format into a more usable one. Adobe Player is very invasive and obnoxious and the DRM degrades the quality of the videos. Please help!

I have seen lots of "secure" RTMPE streams from Adobe. Although Adobe was mentioning that they were using DRM in such stream, it is not true. They just encrypt their streams.

Haven't seen any DRM protection in FLV files yet.

And I haven't seen any DRM protection that degrades the quality of audio or video content.

Why do you want to remove DRM protection from FLV files? Have you encountered any DRM protection in flv files?

Re: DRM on flv files

With the DRM protection on, they can only be downloaded with Adobe Player and played with Adobe player. If the DRM was not there the flv files could be converted to other formats. There is definitely DRM there.

Adobe uses secure RTMPE protocol, that allows to encrypt streams. The following thread discusses software that allows to download RTMPE streams:
RTMPE stream recording/downloading/capturing/ripping/saving

p.s. Many internet commentators believe that RTMPE is a Digital Rights Management Technology. In fact it is not, and Adobe say so as well.
