ACV browser interface - snapshot function no workie..

I have a new ACV 796D 8CH DVR
using the web browser, I cannot seem to be able to save a local clip
there is a snapshot button on the web page, but it does nothing.

according to the manual, I am suppose to be able to take a snapshot of a clip and the image will open in a separate window.
this does not happen!

can someone tell me what am I missing here?

I have never worked with your DVR.

I have never used the snapshot option while using the browser.

I believe that you may have a pop up blocker that may be creating your issue.

When you press the snapshot button I believe it takes that picture, and opens it in another browser screen. Look at the bar at the bottom of the screen to see another browser is open.
For example: If the channel 1 was a scanning PTZ, and you pressed snapshot you would get another browser with a snapshot picture. If you refresh the browser page you will get a snap shot of a new view (because the PTZ is scanning). With static cameras, then look at the time / date stamp, and as you hit the refresh the time / date stamp will update.

This option will not work as there is no communication from the DVR to your computer. You can only interact with the DVR itself.
You can use a screen shot software that is on your computer to get that picture.

You will have to use the remote software in order to store the snapshot in the temppicture file.
