Vista SP1 on a Sony VAIO VGN-NR11S with Realtek High definition AudioUsing Vista SP1 on a Sony VAIO VGN-NR11S with Realtek High definition Audio. Not possible to enable recording on the device. Universal Audio Driver refuses to work; option to use the driver can be checked but the device does not appear in the (empty) list of audio sources. Shows message "Unable to install audio filter" when trying to do the audio test. Tried starting WM Capture before browser, tried running as Administrator etc. Doesn't work. In my opinion this program is not suitable for use under Vista and it really shouldn't be advertised as being so.

Re: Vista SP1 on a Sony VAIO VGN-NR11S with Realtek High definition AudioI use it just fine with my sony vaio vista laptop, I also know of MANY people who use it with vista - no problems- as well.
I would like you to go into the Settings of WM Capture by clicking the "Settings" button, then click the "Audio Setup/Test button." We are interested in what is listed under the Audio Sources. Is there anything there besides the Universal Audio Driver? If so, when each of the other options are selected, is there a "Wave," "Stereo Mix," "What-U-Hear" or anything along those lines listed under "Audio Inputs" (The colum just to the right)? For example, My Audio Inputs says Stereo Mix, Line-In, Microphone and a few others.. Looking forward to your response. |
