Viewing CBS/FOX outside of the USAHello everyone.
I'm from Germany and I want to watch the CBS/FOX Videos. Code:
http://www.cbs.com/video/ http://streaming.myfoxdetroit.com/ But it doesn't work I tried it with alot of proxies but everytime it doesn't work out. On CBS it saids that I need to Install Adobe Flash Player 9 but I've installed it allready. On Fox nothing happens it's just a Blackpage. Does someone knows how to watch it outside of the USA? |

Re: Viewing CBS/FOX outside of the USAIf you are having problems with one proxy, try a few different ones. I recommend using firefox with foxyproxy as it is very easy to change proxies that way. I have tried some proxy servers from proxy4free and they were pretty good. They also update regularly so keep trying different ones. And don't forget to change the port.
Proxy lists: http://www.proxy4free.com/ http://www.publicproxyservers.com/page1.html http://nntime.com/ And you can use Hotspot Shield instead of proxy servers. |

Re: Viewing CBS/FOX outside of the USAProxy lists usually mention IP addresses and ports of proxy servers. One should not only change the IP address, but also the port number.

Re: Viewing CBS/FOX outside of the USAI can tell you that Hotspot Shield is a VPN, a medicine much much more serious than a proxy. (In my observation) a proxy only affects your browser, but a VPN affects your whole computer, including all downloading, torrents and p2p like emule. Hotspot is adware, and will affect your computer, even when Hotspot is turned off. When I start Hotspot, the computer fan slows down and the hard disk makes a lot of noise, indicating high cpu usage. Unfortunately, I haven't found any other vpn that is free (does anybody know if there are other free VPN's)? However, where I am, Hotspot is the only way I can use torrents or emule, or listen/watch streaming content on censored or restricted ( by geographical location) websites (like Pandora.com) |

Re: Viewing CBS/FOX outside of the USAI use Ultrasurf. I'm Canadian and thus can't watch videos on cbs.com and UltraSurf fools the site into thinking you live within the geographical region. You don't need to install anything, you just launch it when you need it.

The best way to watch cbs outside US is to use http://www.unotelly.com . It offers cbs and fox free (although they charge for using channels like netflix). I am a cbs buff myself and was broken when I could not access it from India. But www.unotelly.com came to my rescue. Although I don't use their paid service I have heard that it is quite good compared to some others available in the market. Hope this helps !!! |

Re: Viewing CBS/FOX outside of the USAYou can't really beat a paid VPN. You can get a years service for about $50. I use strongVPN loaded onto a DDWRT flashed router, i then have two wifi SSID's coming from the one router, one connects via the UK, the other via the USA. Switching is as easy as switching wifi connections.
Works great for Netflix on the Apple TV, Hulu etc etc |
