How to record TV via Firewire in Vista 64 bit?I am running 64-bit Vista an a home-built PC and I would like to record TV videos to my hard drive via firewire. I connected the computer to a Mitsubishi WD-52725 TV via firewire. When connected, Vista asks for a driver (Mitsubishi YR2004 AV/C Monitor). I can't locate the dirver on the web or by calling Mitsubishi customer service. Can anyone give me some guidance on recording TV videos via firewire on a Vista 64-bit system? Thank you.

Re: How to record TV via Firewire in Vista 64 bit?I did not know this could be done with simply a cable. I would imagine you would need some sort of software to VIEW the video files on your computer as they're being played on your tv. On top of this you would also need a recording program as well...
Have you tried the dazzle software/hardware bundle ? This might be what you're looking for... |

Re: How to record TV via Firewire in Vista 64 bit? What about your TV? Can it output video via fireware or dose it only use firewire as an input?

Re: How to record TV via Firewire in Vista 64 bit? There are no working 64bit drivers for firewire recording. You need to use a 32 bit operating system and if you are using anything besides XP you need to downgrade to your firewire legacy drivers in device manager
