Re: I need help setting up my avtech 4ch mpeg4 dvrHi stream recorder, is it correct that I input my ISP's data into the dvr network setting? Shall I enable port forwarding with my router. I'am asking you these questions because I can't remotely log into my dvr using quicktime player.

Re: I need help setting up my avtech 4ch mpeg4 dvrTo set up your DVR then connect it to your router.
Set the DVR menu advance network ip should be set to DHCP activate your Video Server E Select the icon with the paper with the eyeglass on it. It should show you the ip address that the router is assigning your DVR. Go back to your DVR, and change your IP to static using this number. The subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0 If it is not then you can verify this by doing an ipconfig on you computer that is attached to this lan as the DVR. Write down the subnet mask, and the gateway, and enter these numbers in to your DVR. The dns number that you enter in to the DVR comes from the internet provider. Go to portforward and select the router that you are doing. Gadspot IP camera is the closest to the AVTech DVR http://www.portforward.com/english/r...outerindex.htm Follow the screen shots for your brand of router. Good luck. |
