Charity Event Live Video Streaming, how do I stream live on the web?I run fundraising events for a charity in the UK, and I would like to be able to broadcast an event live on the internet.
Please can someone tell me if it is possible to broadcast from a camera to a website so that the video can be viewed in real time? What is the technology involved? How powerful would the servers have to be to allow multiple users to view the stream? So many more questions but don't know if this is the right place... Re: Charity Event Live Video Streaming, how do I stream live on the web?Hello I am doing live streaming on the Internet. The technology is simple: you need a computer, a video camera and a broadcasting software.

Re: Charity Event Live Video Streaming, how do I stream live on the web?To answer to your question regarding the servers, usualy when you choose a broadcasting software you will get the feed from their server and the only thing you need to think about will be the traffic. Based on your traffic you can buy hosting packages which come with a speciffic amount of GB included.
It is not a performance problem here but bandwidth consumed in order to watch shows. If you have 300 users watching at the same time ,you use more bandwidth than when 200 are online at the same time. |
